| Airport direction depends on where the rental car is, but follow the signs to Jerusalem, NOT Tel Aviv. After leaving the airport, turn right at El Al Junction, the first traffic light. Follow Jerusalem signs, drive under the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway #1 and turn left. From this point you have two options: OPTION 1: Highway 1 to Jerusalem (first light is right to Saharov Gardens, 2nd light is left to Dead Sea, Ramot) 3rd light bear right, pass convention center on your right, bear right again; (1st light left to Agrippas, 2nd light left to city center, right to supreme court) 3rd light left on Ramban, the Knesset Building and a park are on your right, the road goes up a sharp incline, at the top is a light - go straight. You will come to a no entry where you go right, immediately left and right. The intersection is a bit of a problem as cars enter from three roads and leave in three different directions, so work at gettign into the right lane. You are now on Keren Kayemet. Pass Moriah Hotel on your left, Laromme Hotel and Liberty Bell Garden on your right and turn left. The turn is actually a left-right, pass Khan on your left and railroad station on your right and the road turns left - all this in a distance of a few hundred meters. At light turn left and park in the parking lot to your left, the hotel is on your right. OPTION 2: Jerusalem Highway #1, turn off at sign to Modi'in, 2nd intersection after airport. Pass Modi'in. Road takes you into Jerusalem, the Ramot neighborhood. continue straight. You will pass through a religious area. You will come to an intersection with a lane that bears left with sign to Old City, bear left and immediately right. At Old City Wall turn right with the road, left again along Old City Wall. Pass Jaffa Gate and where wall turns left you turn right at the light. Drive under pedestrian bridge and park in lot to your right, hotel is on your left. |
